Desktops Trump Video Game Consoles for Fun

Desktops used as a video game system have made tremendous strides in the past decade. We want to offer an analysis of why the best choice in gaming isn’t necessarily the one everybody thinks it is. So which is the best video game system on the market?  Is it the Sony PlayStation 3, X-Box 360, or the Nintendo Wii?
How about:  None of the above?  For the best in graphics, variety and affordability, the best gaming system is your home desktop computer system.
There are several reasons for this selection.  First of all, there's the monitor.  The monitor on most desktops has far greater resolution than the standard television set--and the TV is where most video-game consoles are played.  This means you'll get a much richer image if you're playing games on your Sony Desktops than on your Sony 26 inch TV.
Computer games also typically cost less than console games.  Most games that cost $59 for the PS3 and XBox will typically run about $49 for the Wii--and a much more affordable $39 for desktops.
Apple desktops are particularly good at hosting video games with intense graphic action similar to the video game consoles.  In fact, if you didn't know ahead of time that a computer was playing it, you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between the game actions on most Apple Desktops from the XBox.  Unfortunately, as with most software, there are fewer selections available for the Apple Mac than there are for Windows systems.
And this brings us to tone of the biggest advantages to Windows desktops:  The sheer volume of games.  Almost every major game which is released for one of the consoles is also released for Windows desktops.  The reverse does not always hold true.  This means if you find a game that you like playing on your PS3, you're likely to also find it available for your Hp Desktops and IBM Desktops
Adding to this is the fact that most desktops today are backwards compatible for many years.  Therefore, if you don't mind the diminishing graphic look, you can easily play game favorites that you loved back in 1997 on your system today.  The major video game consoles are not nearly so backwards-compatible.
For all of these reasons, if you can only afford one video game system, make it your desktop computer.  It'll provide as much entertainment as you need.  And to find the best desktops for your gaming needs, visit www.superwarehouse.com.
